Most Gas BBQ's give you a maximum total power of 48,000 BTU from 4 burners, with each burner providing 12,000 BTU heat output. Our This BBQ has 55,000 BTU of total power amongst 4 burners; the back burner is 10,000 BTU's so each main burner produces an impressive 15,000 BTU's of heat. The benefit of this is that more heat can be concentrated in one area, and this is very advantageous for the warming area, which can also be used as a slow cooking area given the extra heat. This BBQ makes lava rock redundant, the Flavourisers or Sizzle Bars, spit back the fat as it drips on them producing an authentic barbecue flavour. The BBQ benefits from plenty of storage space with the two preparation areas plus large interior storage.
Rotisserie cooking, or spit roasting, is one of the most popular ways to cook meat on a barbeque grill. The rotisserie constantly turns the meat so the food self bastes in its own juices, rendering meats exceptionally tender and moist. Whole birds and fish, beef, lamb, veal and pork roasts, as well as ribs are all excellent candidates for spit roasting. The "Silver" Stainless Steel BBQ benefits from a 10,000 BTU back burner for use with a rotisserie that is turned automatically at about 2½ revolutions per minute. Note that unlike this great Rotisserie BBQ which offers the back burner, Rotisseries that operate with a normal burner underneath will not allow the meat to self baste as the juice simply drips down. The Rotisserie itself is made from heavy duty stainless steel with adjustable and settable meat-hooks. Once cooked, simply lower the heat to keep warm and serve at your leisure.
The design of the "Silver" Stainless Steel BBQ is excellent with safety and convenience a priority, and the exposed areas at a small child's head height are rounded, not sharp and angled. The BBQ also has locking wheels for stability and easy manoeuvrerability, a thermometer which is particularly useful for slow cooking whilst the lid is down and an easily removable grease drip tray.
